Referring to your comment that accompanies the BAPOM for Amaroo: "one of
the period Australian tracks that (for whatever reason) wasn't used in the Tasman Series in the late '60s. "

This track didn't exist until 1967 and by that time the Australian circuits
for the Tasman Cup were well-established as Lakeside, Warwick Farm and Sandown (Longford having been dropped around 1968 - too
dangerous).
 
Amaroo was originally used for
motorbike racing and then basically "club" racing for cars, although i
t did host several Australian Touring Car
championship races.
 
I was fortunate in
attending many race programs there between 1967 and as recently as 1997.

The circuit closed in 1998.
